About Harper

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a defensive nightmare who takes pride in creating chaos on every possession. I consistently force turnovers by jumping passing lanes, pressuring the ball, blocking shots in the paint, and disrupting offenses from end to end. Offensively, I’m an ambidextrous finisher who can attack and score with either hand while embracing contact at the rim. I’m also a strong playmaker with great court vision

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I stay level-headed and composed no matter the moment of the game. I don’t get too high or too low — I stay focused, balanced, and locked in from tip-off to the final buzzer. I’m continuing to grow as a leader by demonstrating effort, intensity, and mindset on the court. I compete hard and hate losing, but I also see every game as an opportunity to learn and improve.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Outside of basketball, I take the same discipline and commitment into the classroom and my community. I maintain a 4.0 GPA and consistently earn straight A’s while balancing athletics and leadership activities. I’m a member of my school’s yearbook editorial staff and the National Honor Society’s Beta Club, where I continue to develop leadership, responsibility, and teamwork skills off the court.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have a strong work ethic and take pride in being mentally tough and disciplined both on and off the court. I hold myself to a high standard in everything I do, whether it’s competing, training, academics, or representing my team and community. I’m continuing to push myself as a leader by leading through my effort, focus, and consistency while growing into a stronger vocal presence for my team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve been fortunate not to have had to overcome much adversity in my life so far, but there have been moments that tested my family and me. We lost loved ones over the years, which was hard emotionally, and Hurricane Sally flooded our home and displaced us for a period of time. Then in 2021, my mom was involved in a fire and suffered catastrophic injuries. That really changes your perspective.

What type of college are you looking for?

Right now, I am still learning about different colleges and what will be the best fit for me. I want a school with outstanding academics, a strong basketball program with Coaches that invest in their players, and a positive culture where I can continue to grow.
