About Imani

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to drive, and I like to hit midrange jumpshots.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

When I get on the court, I like to give myself the mentality that I'll be the best one on the floor, going both defensively and offensively. I think that I have a humble personality on the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I received Honors Roll, I'm in the Principal's cabinet, I work across the street from my school, I'm the Cheer Team Manager, I'm in the Debate club, I also play flag football, and at my school, it's considered a "club", and I'm an entrepreneur. I own my own business, where I sell food in my city and neighboring areas.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Joining an AAU team in the middle of their season helped me develop more teamwork skills. Being Shift Lead at my place of work also gave me leadership skills, having to be one of the youngest employees and teaching adults.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

In basketball, I would say that I'm not confident all the time. So that's constantly a challenge; outside of basketball, I can't think of any.

What type of college are you looking for?

Any. I'm not fully decided, but I want to be a Mechanical Engineer.
