Richardson’s time wearing the uniform of 5A Division 1 J.L. Mann would include a pair of occasions where the Patriots qualified for Upper State championship games. She is among the five seniors that are part of J.L. Mann’s 2026 graduating class. This past season, Richardson would average 12.2 points per game. Versatility has been a hallmark of her game over the years with an ability to give a team productive minutes either in the frontcourt or the backcourt. Among the highlights of Richardson’s 2025-26 campaign with the Patriots is her reaching the 1,000-point plateau for her career. Richardson was also one of four All-Region players for the Patriots this past season.

One of the more competitive matchups of Saturday’s She Got Next slate took place between 5A Division 1 J.L. Mann and 6A A.C. Reynolds from North Carolina. The Rockets’ defense had no answers for Richardson as she scored 17 points as Richardson began her swan song season in Patriots Carolina blue and red. Richardson does not shy away from contact that can place her at the free throw line. While she can connect from the midrange, Richardson will also set up shop in the paint with her back to the basket and convert on a high percentage try near the basket.

Those that have watched Richardson develop over the years understands what one will get from her – and why she is a reason 5A J.L. Mann is one of the most dangerous teams in the Palmetto State. A versatile talent, she can make plays from the open court as if she were a guard but also get the job done a bit closer to the rim playing in the frontcourt – appropriate for a wing player. Making passes and a high basketball IQ are two other elements to her overall game. Richardson nearly averaged a double-double for last season’s Patriots version – 10.9 points and 9.6 rebounds plus 2.9 steals.

Imari is one of two Lady Patriots here in this latest edition of Stock-Risers. Imari made the jump up from #40 to #30 this time around. She constantly plays so ACTIVE and HARD while on the floor. Imari will jump on the deck to secure a loose 50/50 ball at without hesitation.
She will showcase a nice turnaround jumper at times when she’s not running down rebounds on both ends of the floor. Imari is currently averaging 11.3 ppg, 9.6 rebounds and 2.7 steals this season for the Lady Patriots (20-6).
J.L. Mann HS has punched a ticket to go back to Florence to play in the Upper State Championship Game vs Blythewood HS this coming Friday.

Richardson’s 5A J.L. Mann assembling had a relatively down year in 2022-23 finishing 8-16. The offensive clinic unleashed by the Patriots against 4A Lancaster could be a sign that J.L. Mann could be ready to turn the corner once again. The Patriots dominated the Bruins and Richardson was the centerpiece of the team’s efforts. Richardson scored 17 points en route to victory. There was not much – if anything – Lancaster’s defense could do to contain the team’s standout sophomore whose star seems to shine brighter with every game. Richardson can log productive minutes either as a three or as a four in the frontcourt. What makes Richardson even more dangerous is she is a double-double threat on a game-by-game basis with the rebounds she hauls in not to mention she plays stellar defense. Richardson had a breakout freshman campaign and is looking to follow that up with a sophomore season on what should be an improved J.L. Mann rendition.
