A revelation this season has been the improvement of Friesleben. She’s playing the best basketball I’ve seen her play. She looks more comfortable on the floor than I’ve seen for some time, and she’s been her most productive version of herself in her final season as a Viking. The lefty can score from all three levels and handle the ball on the perimeter. She’s a multi-sport athlete who could pursue a few different avenues at the next level, but she could be a sneaky addition to a basketball program if she wants to keep playing.

The New Berlin West wing didn’t play club basketball last season but has played some of her best basketball for the Vikings to start her senior season. She’s pushing a 50/40/90 season and leads West in scoring in the early going. Freisleben is a multi-sport athlete who may play softball at the next level, but from the first dozen games of her senior season, schools should poke their head into some of the streams of games she’s played this season. Not many kids can handle the ball and shoot it at the level Freisleben has, with her size at about 6’0.
