Fruitport will have an experienced leader in the backcourt with Izabel returning for her senior season. A First Team All-Conference selection last winter, Izabel has established herself as a dependable guard who understands how to make the players around her better. She may not always be the player putting up the biggest numbers, but her impact can be felt in the way she controls possessions, makes smart decisions and keeps the offense moving. Izabel does a nice job recognizing opportunities to make the extra pass, moving without the basketball and putting herself in positions to help her team succeed. She also brings a strong work ethic defensively, staying engaged, competing for loose balls and making opponents work for their opportunities. Her experience and understanding of the game will be valuable for a Fruitport team looking to climb the OK Silver standings. As she enters her final high school season, Izabel will be an important piece in helping set the tone for the Trojans this winter.

Izzy, a First Team All-Conference selection as a sophomore, is the kind of guard who elevates her team by doing all the subtle but essential things that don’t always show up in a box score. She brings steady decision-making, hustles for loose balls, defends with discipline, and consistently keeps the offense flowing with smart passes and timely cuts. Whether she’s spacing the floor, initiating action, or making the extra effort on defense, Izzy impacts the game in countless ways. After helping Fruitport sit in the middle of the conference last season, she’ll be a key piece in their push to climb the standings and challenge the league’s top teams this year.
