About Izzie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a versatile player who has played positions 1-4 throughout my varsity high school career. I am a strong outside shooter who has some range off the line but I also can get to the hoop and finish strong.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am loud person on the court calling out what screens are coming or communicating what is happening. Off the court I put in the work, extra camps, extra hours in the gym, and working out.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been our team captain since sophomore year. Last year I had to take over our lead point guard role after she was injured which made me step up and become more confident in my ball handling abilities but gave me less opportunities to shoot. I lead our team in assists last year and always looking for one extra pass.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I went from being our 2-4 positions which was exciting because it gave me the opportunity to learn each position then I had to take over point guard position which was different. I went from always getting the kick our or driving to the hoop, to always taking the ball, setting up the plays, and communicating on a different level.
