Izzy came into high school known as being a dangerous 3-point shooter. Last season, in her first big role on Varsity, she knocked down 41 3-pointers, but she also learned shot selection and had to adjust to the speed & size of the Varsity game. This year, all of that has paid off. She is shooting 41% from beyond the arc, and she has already made 36 3-pointers in just over half as many games as she played in 2024-2025. On top of that, Izzy has down a tremendous job of transitioning from the role of “shooter” to being more of a combo guard who can slide over and manage the offense as a point guard, when necessary.

Izzy is another young prospect in a great position to step up this season. Franklin graduated a talented and deep 2024 class, but this 2027 group of theirs also possesses some nice pieces. Izzy is a quick, shifty guard who has always been known more as a shooter/scorer. However, she has solid ball skill, good awareness, and as she continues to play on the ball more moving forward, I would expect her to become more of a traditional point guard who can shoot than a shooting guard.

I haven’t done any sort of research or anything, but based on FCHS stats, there must be more hoops in driveways in Franklin, Indiana, because of the way it seems like each of the Grizzly Cubs shoots the ball. Izzy is the next in line to step up for Franklin Community. She is quick, fast, and feisty, but she is also a heady ballplayer and a very good perimeter shooter when she’s able to get her feet set. Look for her to take on a much bigger role next season.
