The Pacelli guard helped lead her Cardinals team to a state title in D5 last March, and had a triple-double in that game. Zdroik also poses problems for defenses because she’s a physical guard who will get into the paint and overpower her defender, given she has a mismatch. Her shot also looks a little funky, but she’s a solid enough shooter where you can’t leave her alone on the perimeter.
The reigning D5 State Champion came from the smallest school at the event and didn’t look out of place in the slightest. She was one of the kids who seemed comfortable among people she probably had never met before, and you could tell her group of kids enjoyed being around her. She was solid in the 5v5 portion, and shot the ball better than I remember her ever shooting. She’s a kid who will do well anywhere she goes.
