:  Jaihla is a student-athlete with great potential, and her growth and development in such a short period of time is impossible to ignore.  After earning a spot on my first tournament team back in May at a Prep Girls Hoops event—where she primarily played in the post—she showed up to the TABC Showcase looking like a completely transformed player. The immense amount of offseason work she has put in off the court was immediately noticeable. Instead of being confined to the block, Jaihla confidently handled the ball against fierce perimeter pressure and actively facilitated the offense from the shooting guard and small forward spots—positions she will more than likely play at the next level.

Jaihla is the definition of a dependable, high-impact player. Though she is an undersized forward playing center, her refined post moves and technical skills allow her to win most battles under the rim.

She is relentless on the boards at both ends of the court and a magnet for 50/50 balls. What truly sets Jaihla apart is her elite work ethic. She is a “high-motor” athlete who will simply outwork the opposition for rebounds, floor position, and defensive stops. To put it clearly: Jaihla is a blue-collar player who hustles on every single possession. She rarely, if ever, takes a play off—making her a special asset to any roster.

As she continues to develop, I fully expect Jaihla to expand her skill set to operate efficiently on the perimeter. That “inside-outside” versatility will allow her to dominate high school competition and provide her the opportunity to play at the collegiate level.
