Wright, benefiting from perimeter players consistently making quality interior passes, was a force inside. A center with legitimate size, opponents struggled to gain any leverage on her on both ends. Using her size and a little quickness she powered through or around defenders to find the hole. On offensive rebounds Wright kept the ball high, going back up quickly to score with touch. Defensively she clogged the lane well, discouraging interior passes and intimidating potential shots.

Wright showed great touch and strong footwork around the rim this evening. She did an excellent job of establishing early post position and made defenders work by forcing them up the lane when they fronted her. As the ball was reversed around the perimeter, she consistently re-sealed to create easier scoring opportunities.
Defensively, she impacted the game even when she wasn’t able to time a block, doing a great job of contesting and forcing tough shots. She was also solid on both the offensive and defensive glass, giving her team valuable second-chance opportunities and finishing possessions on the other end.

Wright had a quiet first half, scoring just a couple of buckets, but still made her presence felt. She forced opponents into tough shots and was active defensively, getting her hands on the ball for multiple blocks. Despite dealing with foul trouble, when she was able to stay on the floor she showed excellent footwork and strength to establish deep post position, putting herself in position for higher-percentage looks.

A strong and physical post presence. She moved defenders at will, but also was able to display some great footwork and post moves in close. Despite her being a right-hand dominant player, she used her left hand just as much, which is very impressive. She runs the floor in transition and showed her ability to move on the perimeter as well. Great rebounder on the offensive and defensive end, and protects the paint very, very well, using precise timing and her length to block shots repeatedly.
