About Jalisa

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is aggressive but adaptable. I like to take control, push the pace, and keep my opponents guessing. I can switch things up fast depending on the situation, but I’m always focused on staying one step ahead and making bold moves.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’d describe my mentality as confident, competitive, and focused. I don’t back down easily and I’m always pushing myself to improve. I like challenges, stay calm under pressure, and try to turn every setback into motivation to come back stronger.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m involved in a AAU team that plays on the puma circuit.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills from working with others toward common goals. I know how to communicate clearly, stay positive, and motivate people around me. I’ve also learned responsibility and discipline whether it’s through school, sports, or community service and I always try to set a good example and help out wherever I can.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yeah, I’ve faced a few challenges, especially learning how to balance everything school, sports, and personal life. There were times I felt overwhelmed or doubted myself, but those moments taught me how to manage my time better and stay focused under pressure. I’ve also learned that setbacks aren’t failures, they’re just chances to grow and come back stronger.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that challenges me both academically and personally somewhere with a strong program in my field, but also a supportive community. I want a school that values teamwork, leadership, and growth, and gives me opportunities to keep improving myself, whether it’s through athletics, clubs, or community involvement.
