One of the many positive stories of the 2025-26 season was the regular season turnaround of 1A Lewisville from seven wins two years ago to 16. Culp was one of the catalysts behind the Lions’ turnaround and will look to keep the winning ways going at 5A Rock Hill. Culp was the only eighth grader that was on last season’s Lewisville roster and played in 24 of the Lions’ 25 contests last season. A playmaker on both ends of the floor, she averaged 10 points, five steals and 3.4 rebounds per contest. Bearcats coach Kenny Orr adds Culp to a team that finished its 2025-26 season with a record of 18-9 and graduated five seniors (including one of its team co-captains) from last year.

Culp was the only eighth grader on last season’s 1A Lewisville assembling. She ensured that the Lions would put together one of most noteworthy turnarounds of the 2025-26 campaign. Culp played in 24 of Lewisville’s 25 games for a Lions squad that finished last season with a record of 16-9. She averaged 10 points, a team-leading five steals, 3.6 rebounds and a team-leading 3.3 assists per contest last season. She was also among the Lions’ leaders in 3-point percentage and blocks per game with 1.3 – which one would consider a high amount for a guard. With one of the breakout eighth-grade seasons in the Palmetto State in the rear-view mirror, Culp appears to be just getting started.

Lewisville’s early efforts were spearheaded by its eighth grade rising star. Culp concluded her Thursday evening with a seven-point performance. What was more impressive than her scoring production was what the 2030 was able to get done on defense. There was many a Great Falls possession where she was a threat to collect a steal and go the other way with the rock. When she does have the ball in her hands, she understands when the right times are to attack and when the right times are to distribute and put her teammates in the right spots to make the right plays. Culp is also one of the Lions’ leaders in blocks.
