Byers brought high intensity defense each possession, actively rotating to opposing ball handlers with urgency to force a rushed pass. Tasked with anchoring the paint to the best of her ability, the guard did her best to stay physical versus bigger opponents. Active getting to pull-ups in the mid-range, she created quite a few attempts off the bounce, fluid on difficult shot attempts.

Proactive pressuring opposing ball handlers at the point of attack, Byers has been a difference maker all season. With active hands both tipping it away on reaches or deflections on a pass, she does her best to take away space from opponents. Offensively, Byers has consistently sought driving lanes, either self-created or within the offensive flow. Another area of benefit has been her willingness to draw contact at the rim from drives.
