About Jayden

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

An aggressive combo guard with a defensive mindset. Getting teammates involved offensively, while still creating opportunities for myself. Defensively I will proudly never backing down from any match up. Offensively--confident ball handler that can penetrate with ease and finish with either hand. A willing passer getting teammates involved. A solid midrange jumper and solid 3 point shot.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am outgoing, extremely competitive and thrive on success. Losing is not an option and I carry a mentality that I must out work every other basketball player.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been invited to the National Junior Honors society for school. I am proud of this, as it reflects the work I put in inside the classroom as well.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Being a point guard, you must show leadership and teamwork. That is the only way to succeed on the floor. I truly lead by example and doing the work, but I would like to work on being more of a vocal leader as well within the team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Of course! I started basketball later than most, so I am constantly pushing myself to work harder to "catch up" for the time that others have on me. Also, losses are never easy. I have started to look at them as "learning opportunities" rather than "losses".

What type of college are you looking for?

I would like a girls basketball focused college, but with a solid academic program as well. I would like to choose my college as a student first and athlete second.
