Coleman really impressed not only myself but others on the baseline. She will be ranked when the new 2028 update is released after an impressive afternoon in Woodstock. Jayla is a smooth operating southpaw who was equally effective knocking down shots from three (in the skills and games portions) and sliding her way to the basket before finishing at the rim. She is also a very good athlete with quick feet, long strides, and good leaping ability. I was not familiar with Coleman prior to the event, but she is a player who I will remember for sure.

Intense and hyper-focused, Jayla maintained composure against pressure D and proved to be a handful. Strong ball movement to distribute around the perimeter and push in transition. Physical baseline drives; not afraid to bang in the paint. Very capable 3-point shooter.

Jayla Coleman is a strong two-way player who brings athleticism and energy to the floor. She has the ability to score at all three levels, making her a versatile offensive threat. Coleman plays hard on both ends and competes every possession. Her athleticism allows her to impact the game in transition and defensively. She shows flashes of being a high-level contributor with her skill set. As she continues to develop, improving her time and score awareness will take her game to another level.

Jayla’s length and ability to elevate helped her block quite a few shots and grab a ton of boards. She was really strong and hard to stop when going to her left. Her 3 ball was falling and she had a knack for stripping the ball when her opponents would try to get to the basket.
