About Jayla

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Im a 5'8" gaurd who loves to play both ends of the floor. I pride myself on getting to rim , while also looking for my teammates for the easy score. I can also knock down the 3.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Im often very quite and calm on the floor.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Currently im in JROTC at school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through JROTC Ive been able to work on skills, to include leadership and discipline.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Ive faced some challenges, as Ive started playing basketball late compared to some of my peers. But through hard work and training, Ive been able to keep up and if not, exceed in my age group.

What type of college are you looking for?

Im looking for colleges that can add my skill set, somewhere where I fit in. Also colleges that help exceed not only in basketball but in my education.

Jayla’s length and ability to elevate helped her block quite a few shots and grab a ton of boards. She was really strong and hard to stop when going to her left. Her 3 ball was falling and she had a knack for stripping the ball when her opponents would try to get to the basket.
