Legion Collegiate has undergone plenty of change over the offseason between bringing in Angelia James as its new coach and its re-admission to the South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) – and loss of playoff eligibility for this season. McMurray has decided to move on and not only depart from Legion Collegiate, but depart from the state. McMurray will run with C3 Concord Christian School in North Carolina throughout the next several months for her senior season. She wore the One Force uniform throughout the spring and summer months of AAU ball and recently picked up an offer from Spartanburg Methodist College. She also had an offer from Mount Mary in Wisconsin. McMurray played in 33 games last season as a Lancer. 

There is a long distance to get from Rock Hill to Milwaukee, but Wisconsin’s largest city is the site of McMurray’s latest offer as it was revealed that Mount Mary and coach Joshua Steffen has her on its radar. A product of the One Force AAU program, she was also part of a Legion Collegiate team that posted a stellar record of 22-13 in 2024-25. McMurray is a combo guard that can get from one end of the court to the other in a quick amount of time and knows how to create her own shot. In many ways, her defense can create her offense and accuracy from long range is also part of her offensive repertoire. 

Jaylen McMurray is a bouncy guard who knows how to score at the rim. She can weave through any defense and score at the goal or from the midrange with a sweet floater. McMurray has a flair to her game. She can create space in the half court or attack any trap. In transition, she is exceptional. She pushes the pace to score or drop a dime to one of her Team United teammates.
