Jayonna isn’t terribly well-known in recruiting circles, and she doesn’t exactly play in a competitive high school environment. However, she plays extremely hard, she tries to lead her team, and she has noticeable talent. She is extremely long, fluidly athletic, and somewhat bouncy. She is a major presence defensively, and she led the state with 6.5 blocked shots per game. This season, she added 8.0 points and 10.2 rebounds per game, and she showed some touch, knocking down 10 3-pointers this year.

Jayonna has it a little tough, as she plays for a program that has won just 13 games over the past 3 1/2 seasons combined. However, if one thing can be said about her, it’s that she shows up every night to compete, as evidenced by her whopping 7.2 blocked shots per game this year. She is extremely long, wiry-strong, somewhat bouncy, and she has great timing when it comes to attacking the ball in air. She is still somewhat of an unknown prospect among college coaches, but she has nice upside for the small college level. This year, she is also averaging 8.6 points and 10.4 rebounds per game.

Jayonna is a high-upside front-liner who has gotten significantly better in the last year. She is long, wiry-strong, somewhat bouncy, and she’ll get out and run the floor hard. She plays with a nice motor, she uses her length and athleticism to rebound against bigger, stronger opponents, and she is a really nice shot-blocker coming over from the “help” side. She has a high enough ceiling that if she continues to develop her offensive game, she could end up being an all-conference performer in a small college conference by her Junior year.
