Jazzy was one of the top performers for Team 3 at the PGH MI State Showcase and made her presence felt every time she stepped on the floor. She competed hard in the paint, consistently boxing out and doing an excellent job creating position before rebounds even came off the rim. Her physicality and effort on the glass allowed her to control possessions and battle for rebounds on both ends. Offensively, Jazzy used strong seals to establish deep post position and showcased polished footwork around the basket to create scoring opportunities. She also displayed toughness finishing through contact in traffic and converting difficult plays around the rim. Defensively, she added several blocks and anchored the interior with her activity and timing. Jazzy’s motor, physical play, and effectiveness in the post made her one of the standout performers of the showcase.

Jazanaye had a very productive sophomore season for East Kentwood, receiving recognition as O.K. Red All Conference Honorable Mention. Her length, quickness, high motor, downhill driving, and three-level scoring give opposing forwards fits. Jazanaye produced a 16-point and 13-rebound double-double vs. West Ottawa and added a 20-point, 12-rebound outburst vs. Grand Haven. She was impressive on the circuit a year ago and will be a versatile wing/forward for West Michigan Drive again this spring.

Jazzy is a defensive force, taking pride in protecting the rim and making life difficult for opponents in the paint. She has a knack for shot-blocking, consistently racking up multiple blocks per game, and her ability to read the ball off the rim allows her to dominate the boards. Offensively, she finishes well around the basket, and her vocal leadership keeps her team engaged on both ends of the floor. With her defensive presence and high-energy play, I’m excited to see how she impacts games this spring and summer during AAU season. She’s the kind of player who can shift momentum in an instant, and I’m looking forward to following her progress.

Jazanaye was a relentless competitor on both ends of the court for MDP-2027-Kiara at the Select Super Showcase. She wanted the ball more than everyone else on the court, putting her body on the line for 50/50 balls and outworking everyone for rebounds. Jaz used a drop step in the high post to explode off the dribble by her defender and get to the free-throw line. She blocked shots, scored off two, and extended her shot outside to hit a straightaway 3. Jaz communicates with her teammates and made a great impression with her determination and effort.
