Of the five girls in this article, Jillian’s ability to come up with steals can be viewed as a bit more impressive, because she does it from more of an interior position defensively. Jillian will likely transition to the wing next year as a Freshman at Taylor University, but until then, she helps patrol the paint some for a good Delta Eagles squad. She is very athletic, she has some length, and so she has the physical tools to cause havoc defensively. But it’s her eye, her timing, and her ability to defend both inside and out that stand out as impressive to me. She has always been somewhat under the radar.

There aren’t a lot of colleges familiar with Jillian, because she has only played a handful of grassroots games as a fill-in the last couple of years. She is athletic, she has a strong frame, some length, plus bounce in her step. She has the versatility to defend ‘3s’ and undersized ‘4s’, plus she is all motor and will battle from beginning to end. While she is highly effective scoring it for Delta inside of the arc, I think being consistently comfortable around the perimeter will help her in terms of her college recruiting. Look for her to take that next step this coming season.
