The 6’1 forward was among the state leaders in blocked shots this past high school season, and it’s easy to understand why. The multi-sport athlete has the length to defend around the basket, and she can move her feet around the basket to be an effective help-side defender. There is room for her to grow as she gets further away from an injury that took her grassroots season a year ago, but she’s one of the more intriguing rim protectors in Wisconsin’s 2027 class.

The length and size are the first things that jump out about Kunert. The 6’1 post also has some skills that she’s figuring out. She does an excellent job using her pivot foot around the basket and understands how she can use step-throughs to get into space by using her length. There’s plenty of room for her to grow. Kunert has enough tools to build with to help her excel in the Heart O’North.
