Akins made a strong impression in her Freshman Showcase debut, but what stood out more than everyone’s need to score was her focus on applying pressure on defense. At an event where scoring is usually the main factor, her impact on that side of the ball showed a lot… coaches will love a player like this.

Smooth shooter as she hung out around the perimeter most of the game that I saw. Knocked down a tray, has a nice follow-through on her shot. Athletic, just needs to gain some more experience to strengthen her skill set for the next level of basketball.
