Evan Bell | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Jordyn from Zeeland West was one of the most impressive athletes in the gym at Northwood Team Camp 2. She had another gear off the dribble to beat defenders to the rim and scored many explosive layups in the half court and transition. Jordyn used a variety of combination dribbles to gain the advantage over defenders and blew by baseline for a finish at the rim. She showed her strength to score through fouls at the rim and drilled many 3s from different spots on the court. Jordyn hit the deck for 50/50 balls, created steals, and showed signs of being a true competitor. She demonstrated the qualities of a college basketball player, but is committed to play D1 Soccer at Ball State and we wish her a great career!

Klaasen is a next level player, I have no doubt about that. She’s been a terrific shooter and scorer for Zeeland West this season. Klaasen is a well conditioned athlete, also earning All-State recognition in cross country.

Klaasen has had a tremendous season so far and it continued last night in a 41-25 win against Allendale. She’s been an incredibly efficient and consistent scorer that’s comfortable taking the lead as the go-to offensive option. Klaasen was that again last night, finishing with 17 points.

Klaasen was just one of two sophomores on the 1st-team All-Conference team a year ago. She could put up big numbers on any given night. She can score at all three levels and will need to continue her playmaking to help her Zeeland West get wins this season.

Klaasen was really solid in the game against East Grand Rapids. She paced the Zeeland West team by scoring 20 of their 39 points. Klaasen scored in a variety of ways. She connected at the free throw line, had a shifty finish with body control for 2, and hit a jumper from behind the arc. Klaasen can lead the Dux to wins if she can keep that pace offensively.
