The 5-foot-9 combo guard had her coming-out party right before the holiday break, scoring 19 points on 8 of 11 shooting in a win over Heritage. She was 3 for 3 from deep. As part of it, she looked confident as she hit two of her three 3s against the Eagles with a hand in her face. She also showed an ability to attack the rim with penetration or in transition.

Jordyn played as a scoring guard who shot the three at a high clip. Her ability to get hot quickly made her a dangerous offensive weapon.

Jordyn emerged as an important scoring option over the summer. She can score from all three levels, using her underrated handle to create space on the perimeter. She’s also a crafty finisher at the rim, able to score with either hand.

Jordyn Peterson has been a steady contributor on every team she’s played with over the last couple seasons. She’s a shot-making guard with a balanced offensive skill set, capable of sparking her team at any time. On defense, she’s scrappy and tough able to guard both the perimeter and the post.

Peterson is a very fundamentally sound guard. Her quiet confidence and smooth play keeps the team calm and productive on both ends. She has nice handles; while not flashy she makes strong moves that get the job done. Jordyn is efficient at getting the ball to open teammates and creating her own scoring opportunities. She can get baskets going by defenders and getting to the paint or open mid-range spots. She can also hit jumpers in 2pt and 3pt range. Scoring is not a problem for Peterson. On D, Peterson is disciplined and aggressive. She can pressure the length of the court, get stops in the half court and count on her to be battling in the paint too.
