She impressed fellow PGH contributor Johnny Vick over the summer and has backed it up with teams, steals and three pointers. The steals are particular impressive, as they’ll come from being on the ball and taking the opposition’s cookies. Or knowing when to help out and crash down on a driving ball handler. Playing the passing lanes. And even hustling back on defense to save two points. With good speed and commitment to defense, Hayes is a player who makes a true impact on winning.
