Since the end of the high school season, Thomas has been one of the most improved players in Oklahoma. Which was once again the case at the RUN Showcase. The two time State Champ showcased her complete offensive arsenal. Played quick but was always under control. Also shot it at a very high rate from deep. Has a sharpshooting background while playing next to the outstanding talent over the last fews at El Reno. But now plays like a combo guard with a multifaceted game as a scorer and creator. Thomas looked like she already has the senior urgency needed to thrive and survive during a playoff run for El Reno.

Thomas has the high school championship pedigree after El Reno’s back to back 5A titles. She’s using that experience to attack aggressively on both ends. Forces steals and swats shots on defense. Also is a handful to keep out of the paint, or earn trips to the line. Finishes with both hands. Who can slow it down with good foot work and ballfakes to score around the basket. Also explodes to the rim in transition or when given an open gap. A hooper who has produced all spring and is closing her summer strongly.

Another quick shooting guard that is ready to help lead the Lady Indians for that 3-peat run. Juliana with ball in hands changes her speed and direction allowing her to get those paint touches we all like. Makes good decisions on drives looking for the layup but also understands the kick not forcing the issue. Outstanding defender that reads the passing lanes for the quick jump resulting in steals for points off turnovers. An experience guard that understands what it takes to win championships.

Thomas plays with a high motor energy. She can create her own shot both inside and outside the paint. She uses a sharp change of pace (especially on crossovers) to accelerate and shake defenders. Her all out hustle seems to have speed to it as she dives out of bounds into the bleachers for loose ball saves.

Had a strong opening night performance. Combination of deep threes, and smart on the ball play. Makes the simple but important “extra” passes, especially because at times those passes can be forgotten to be made in grassroots settings. Some juice off the dribble, with crossovers and head fakes to attack and create lanes on drives. Well rounded guard, Thomas is fresh off a winning another State Championship with El Reno in 5A. Expected to take a much bigger role as the tradition continues for the Lady Indians.
