Mirigliani has taken a bigger offensive role this season for Clearview after losing 1,500-point scorer and Jefferson rookie Ana Pellecchia to graduation. With a young roster, the Pioneers took some early lumps but are rounding into form at the right time. The 5’8″ combo guard has scored a career-high 331 points this season and has 147 rebounds. She leads the team in both categories.
Clearview owns a 12-10 record and is the fifth seed in the upcoming NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 playoffs as of February 17.

A very young Clearview squad is going through some growing pains with nearly a full lineup of underclassmen who are still learning the game of varsity basketball. Mirigliani stands out as not only the leading scorer for the Pioneers, but she’s taking on a true leadership role for a roster that at one point had three freshmen on the court in a 56-36 loss to Cinnaminson. The 5’8 combo guard has often taken scoring responsibilities into her own hands, attacking the basket and executing layups with ease. She tied Bret Foster with a team-high 10 points and led the team with four assists.

Mirigliani made a huge leap from her freshman season to her sophomore season, and she’ll be looking to make another big leap in her junior campaign. The 5’8″ combo guard can do it all. She has no problem on defense, either. She had 37 steals and 10 blocks. Oh, and how bout an elite passer? Bingo! Mirigliani can often spread the ball around as well. With Clearview losing seven contributors to graduation in the spring, look for her to take a much bigger overall role in this offense. She tallied 277 points last season, a whopping 224 more than as a rookie. This will be her first year not playing alongside star 1,500-point scorer Ana Pellecchia, who is now in her freshman season at Jefferson University.
