A talented point guard that stood out Saturday with her play and leadership . She had monster offensive game Friday scoring in several ways. Showed nice outside jumper and an aggressive downhill game. Scrappy defender that got up all in her girls space. Hustled on both ends of the court diving for 50/50 balls. Her play Friday had coaches taking notes and asking about her.

A quick guard with long arms, Johnson’s highlights paint the picture of an active guard on both ends of the floor. She’s capable of getting to the rim, finishing with either hand. While also being a disruptor with steals and ball pressure on the defensive end. Once she secures a steal or a long rebound, it looks like she’s always wanting to turn offense into defense by pushing it herself or firing passes to teammates. The rising junior’s shooting form also looked good, with her hitting in the mid-range and from three as well.

I had previously written about Karima in GameChangrer article check it out. Karizma is quick guard that plays all out. I do expect her role to increase this season due to a heavy guard class that just graduated. I expect many high school coaches and college coaches will get the opportunity to see her game this season for the Lady Longhorns.

Karizma aggressive full court consent pressure defense and all out hustle caught the eyes of the scouts this past weekend. Karizma is a defense specialist that can lock down a ball handler in the open floor by herself. She applied pressure in game one and never got tired the rest of the day. A strong ball handler with great vision in transition looking for a layup or a pass to an open player filling the lane. A quick aggressive first step allowed her blow by her defender off the dribble for several easy baskets. The energy she brings on defense and ability to get her teammates going put Karizma on the this list . An experience guard that will be counted on more for a great Jones program.

Karizma is a player to keep a watchful eye on as she has not reached her full potential. — she is a tough guard who possesses the skills to get to the basket and make plays on both ends of the court! Jones HS has always had a top notch program and Johnson will be a true asset going into the 2023-2024 season. — she will be playing against players from bigger schools at the Top 250 event but with Johnson’s prowess for challenge, she should be one of the top performers come Sunday morning!

Karizma Johnson, a 5’7 combo guard, is a skilled ball-handler who excels at controlling the pace of the game even when under pressure. She’s a slasher that is fearless and can get to the basket to finish in traffic. Defensively, she has quick instincts, pressures the ball and can play the passing lanes or take a charge on the back side. Johnson brings defensive energy and a strong desire to win, making her a valuable asset to her team. If she can continue to work on her ball handling and body control, and consistency when shooting – it will take her game to the next level.
