Koval had a nice December and continues to show why she’s one of the top recruits in the nation. She attacks the basket at an elite level, and excels at second chance opportunities in the paint. She has really worked on her post game with her footwork and you can see that translating in games. Koval has refined her mechanics and is more fluid with a quicker release on her shot. She’s a hooper that’s just going to keep get better.

Koval is headed to South Bend to play for Notre Dame next season for Coach Ivey. She is a force in the paint and shows great finishing touch and footwork around the rim and in the post. Runs the floor well, sets great screens, and can roll off picks slashing her way to the basket. She has good handle, loves to attack the basket, and create second chance opportunities. She has room to grow on the defensive end with her rim protection, but still is a force on both ends with the ability to alter the game.

Koval is dominant in the paint. Plain and simple. Good touch around the rim. Athletic post with good footwork and a variety of post moves. Runs the floor well. Once her back is to the basket in the paint, consider it a bucket. Cleans up on the glass and is a solid rim protector with room to grow. Has nice mid-range game and the ability to stretch the floor.

Elite size and skill can play back to the basket and even hit the 15-foot jumper. Kate has a big catch radius standing at 6’5 with long arms, it’s never a problem getting the ball to her in the low post! Runs the floor exceptionally dominant on the glass, If you don’t put a body on her it’s almost guaranteed she will get the rebound. Great rim protector and a very good athlete, she had a great 16 points 8 rebound game versus a good IMG team that had several D1 commits.
