Teagan Hamar also had a terrific tournament for Seiling but when Briggs fouled out for Seiling you could sense a shift. Briggs had 16 and 8 in the game, rebounding from a poor shooting performance in a Quarter-Final win.

The physical point forward tried to do it all to bring Seiling back. Had a full stat line of 16 points and 8 rebounds. Was a physical finisher and battler at the rim. And on defense. Left it on the court for the tradition rich program, and was fun to watch in a couple playoff viewings. Will be headed to OBU for Softball at the next level.

Tall wing/forward, who’s a bit of a point forward with the way she handles the rock and hits big jumpers. Her scoring and energy were a key part of a dominant third quarter run that busted the game open for Seiling. Plays at her own pace with the ball in her hands, rarely was sped up or out of control. Complete ball player, and no surprise has winning traits while part of of the powerhouse that is Lady Wildcats basketball. The softball signee finished with a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds.

I had a talk with coaching legend Brent Rousey (600 wins in Oklahoma) who is currently on the Seiling boys staff, about the keys to this year’s Seiling team and he spoke glowingly about Briggs’ play. Seiling has started February off great, big win over #3 Cyril, and then a win in a showdown with Class B #1 Lomega. Look for the lefty to leave her mark in the last year of the Big House this year.

The Lady Wildcats 13 steals in the win over Darko, with Briggs accounting for some of the biggest. The recent Oklahoma Baptist University softball signee has stepped up into a star role for Seiling after the graduation losses of Nyberg, Gore, and Whetstone. Scored 10 points on Thursday.

A key part of the dynasty that is Seiling Wildcat basketball. Briggs’ Hudl page paints the picture of a hard working forward, who can finish with either hand around the basket. Add in enough clips of good shooting from three (including a strong performance in the Class A quarterfinals) and it’s clear she brings good skill to go along with her toughness around the rim. And as a defender who, also won plenty of 50-50 balls and chased down loose balls throughout the footage of her productive junior season.

The leading scorer for the Wildcats, the junior lefty scored 16 points. What’s impressive is that due to foul trouble, she did it in only 21 minutes against the stellar and tall Bethany defense. In her time on the court, the lefty was efficient in her scoring, going 6-10 from the field. With her solid size and scoring punch, she looks to be a key part of Seiling’s charge to win a third straight State Title and seventh in the past decade.
