The lefty has a nice stroke from beyond the arc and rewarded her teammates by knocking down open shots when they broke the defense down and kicked it her way. As the day went on, you could see her confidence from the outside continue to grow. Lewis (pictured above) is more than just a shooter, though. She has a strong, compact frame that defenders tend to bounce off when she gets downhill, allowing her to stay on her line and finish through contact. That same strength shows up on the defensive end. She held her own against bigger offensive players, battled for position and never backed down from a physical matchup. Once the outside shot started falling, everything else seemed to open up. Kennedy is ranked 76th in the Class of 2028 and is drawing D2 recruiting interest.

Lewis has a smooth left-handed shooting stroke that makes her a threat from deep every time she touches the ball beyond the perimeter. She shoots the ball with confidence and has the athleticism to make plays on both ends of the floor.

Lewis is the quintessential old-school point guard, the kind of high-IQ floor general who sees the court, almost always makes the right play and sets the table for her teammates to score. She’s not very big nor is she super quick. But Lewis’ understanding of the game, and willingness to sacrifice her own opportunities for the good of the group, is what makes her special. The lefty can also shoot threes at a high level. Kennedy is a textbook teammate, the type of vocal leader who is always encouraging others. Once Lewis develops a stronger right hand, she’s going to be even more effective.
