Expert Analysis
Grant McGinnis | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Hoehne’s game took a big leap ahead this fall. The 6’1” forward showed substantial growth at the PGH Expo, both in confidence and in skillset. Her length gives her a defensive edge – she’s a reliable rim protector who alters shots and snags rebounds with instinctive timing. Offensively, she has developed the ability to play inside and stretch the floor, moving fluidly between the low post and perimeter. Her rebounding, shot-blocking, and emerging offensive versatility make her a well-rounded forward with upside. With continued development, Kjersten could rise in the 2027 rankings as a classic late bloomer.

The improvements in Hoehne’s game were palpable at the PGH Expo. Not only has her all-around skillset grown, but her confidence has grown as well. At 6’1, Kjersten brings plenty of length to the court. She made her defensive presence well known on Sunday, protecting the rim and blocking shots on numerous occasions. The Crossfire forward showed her versatility on the offensive end, playing from both the low block and the perimeter, as well as her innate ability for snagging boards. Now entering her junior season, Hoehne looks prepared to play a leading role for Southwest Christian this year.
