Laila asserts her will as a rebounder, and she’ll be a major factor on the offensive glass. Her length, endless motor, disruptive hands in the passing lanes, and ability to finish tough shots through contact will be a challenge for opponents to match up against at the PGH MI College Tour on Saturday. She’s a forward suiting up for Lady Shockers 15U with a ton of potential and next-level upside.

Laila is an incoming freshman who looks ready to have a very productive high school career at Henry Ford. Her length, high-motor style, and effort on both ends of the court will make her a stat stuffer. Laila worked hard to secure rebounds. She grabbed an offensive board and fired a zip pass to an open teammate on the perimeter. Laila prevented turnovers by meeting passes in the air and she caused deflections by keeping her arms active on defense. Laila scored an offensive rebound put back off two feet and finished a tough layup off the glass despite hard contact. She made smart kickout passes off drives and is a forward prospect with a bright future ahead of her.

Laila brings toughness and energy every time she steps on the floor, making her presence felt with her relentless effort in the paint. She’s a tenacious rebounder, especially on the offensive end, where she fights for position and capitalizes on second-chance opportunities. Her physical style of play around the rim draws contact, and she isn’t afraid to mix it up inside. With her grit and nonstop motor, Laila is the type of player we’d love to see at the PGH Freshman Showcase.
