Venables is a perseverance prospect who already has successful made her return to the court. She was a gritty role player as a freshman on a Class 3A semifinalist Community Christian squad. After missing her sophomore season, she stepped into a leadership role as a junior for her new program. Her tough minded playing style seemed to rub off on her teammates, leading to a Class 3A Area playoff run. Along with the determination on the court, she’s a capable scorer and connector on offense. Hitting tough shots at the rim, open threes and often making the right passes. Could be one of the collegiate sleepers in the class.

After an injury wiped out much of Venables sophomore campaign and 16U AAU season, she has bounced back at a new school. Plays with a chip on her shoulder with the way she rebounds, plays defense and goes after loose balls. Good athleticism is apparent when she elevates to block shots and grab rebounds. In a recent game against Crossings Christian, she shot it cleanly and accurate on spot up threes. Appears to be an energy giver to her team as well.
