On January 30, Lauren etched her name into the history books by setting a new national high school record for career three-point field goals, breaking the previous mark of 639 set just last season by Aliyah Chaves. Earlier in that same game, she also surpassed the Sacramento-area career scoring record, eclipsing the long-standing total of 3,089 points established in 1993 by Danielle Viglione of Del Campo High School. The accolades kept coming the day before, as Lauren was named a McDonald’s All-American nominee on January 29.

This Long Beach State commit is coming off a HUGE summer and ready for her final high school season. Arguably one of the most dangerous shooters in the state, Lauren finds ways to get off and make tough shots all over the court. Works hard off the ball to get open, reads the floor well and is comfortable making and taking shots in traffic. Lauren does a great job adjusting to the game, and taking what the defense gives her.

Lauren had a phenomenal Live period showing on larger stage her ability to not only score, but remain poised battling pressure and double teams. High high level shooter from behind the arc with a super quick release. Constantly hunting her shot + doesn’t often let a miss impact the next offensive possession. Floater continues to show increase consistency. Did a great job not forcing possessions + knowing when to create.

Harris is a nationally ranked phenom whose junior season was nothing short of spectacular. Already a top-ten player in at least three nationally-ranked categories, she’s making college scouts sit up and take notice. Averaging nearly 30 points per game, she put on a shooting clinic, draining an astounding 191 three-pointers in just 31 games—making her second in the nation in that category. Her shot is a finely tuned weapon, crafted through precision, allowing her to pull up from anywhere on the court with the ease and confidence of a free throw. Harris’s release is lightning-quick, giving defenders little to no time to close out, and even with a hand in her face, she’s still knocking it down. Her fearless, no-limit mentality and elite scoring ability make her an unstoppable force and a true x-factor leading her team to success.

As predicted, Lauren went off yet again for 35 points and 8 threes in the NorCal Division VI state title! Faith Christian prevailed 58-53 vs. Cornerstone Christian to take home the trophy. Lauren has been a well-known shooter since her freshman year, but the efficiency is now catching up to the volume. 24 made threes in the state tournament on a remarkable 46.1%! Given the difficulty of her threes and the amount of defenders in the area, this feat is even more impressive. Lauren had 2 ridiculous performances from long-range earlier this year: 12 made threes and 49 points on January 14, and 13 made threes out of 16 attempts on February 25. Perhaps the top off-the-dribble shooter returning next year in a state full of snipers.
