Lauren couldn’t have had a better opening high school campaign, and she added an exclamation point with Hype Elite on the PGH Circuit. Lauren has length, athleticism, and potential as a guard that translates to a high level of college basketball. She’s been a frequent Top Performer, dominating on the glass, finishing strong at the rim, slashing to the hoop for layups, and sinking shots from beyond the arc. Lauren competes with a high motor and hasn’t hit her fundamental ceiling yet. She’s one of the prospects we’ve called our shot on early, and her stock is going to boom as college coaches see her more.

Lauren, who plays for Hype Elite, showed why she can be a difference maker with her length, athleticism, and ability to impact the game in multiple ways at the PGH MI College Tour IV Saginaw Valley. She used an explosive first step to get past defenders and attack the basket, while also stretching the floor by knocking down shots from beyond the arc. On the glass, Lauren was relentless, consistently crashing for offensive rebounds and creating extra possessions for her team. Her versatility and nonstop effort made her a valuable presence on both ends of the floor.

After a dominant freshman season at Plymouth Christian Academy, I was very excited to see Lauren on the court Saturday with Hype Elite 16U at the PGH MI College Tour. She got stronger as the day went on. Lauren was effective in the screen and roll, catching and finishing multiple layups off two feet. She made good backdoor cuts to score and stretched the defense by sinking threes from the corner. Lauren crashed the offensive boards hard to secure rebounds, kicked the ball out to open shooters, buried a mid-range pull-up, and attacked with a burst downhill off crossovers. She earned many trips to the free throw line, switched hands well at the rim, and kept her balance by going into defenders off two feet. Lauren plays hard, is long and athletic, and has a very high ceiling.

Lauren has a nice pull up jumper. Shoots the gap on defense creating steals. Took advantage getting deep in the paint in transition scoring with a little bunny. Has a nice soft touch around the rim.
