Layla is a talented freshman guard who is an excellent defender. She is great in ball-screen defense, using her speed to quickly get through screens. Her head is always on a swivel defensively which allows her to be great at closing the gap on drives. She is tough in transition using great vision to pass to teammates for easy buckets.

Layla is a very talented point guard and someone who could end up being an All-Region player at some point in her career. She has a great feel for the game and plays with great pace. I like her quickness and her passing ability and her soft touch around the rim on drives. She is a key player for a Shiloh Christian team that battles every night, with most of their losses coming to top teams in the state. Layla has the attitude and effort where I can see her really improving throughout her high school career and being a great player for years to come.
