Legacy has physical tools you simply cannot teach! Long, wiry athlete who can jump, run, and move her feet. Benjamin covers ground quickly in the paint and on the perimeter. Impressive timing as a shot blocker. Has the length and anticipation to jump the passing lane and take it the other way. Legacy can guard inside and out at the high school level. One of the highest ceilings in the state on the defensive end.

Day 2: Benjamin the Los Osos transfer is a high-level, explosive wing who can put the ball on the floor and attack from multiple angles with ease. She can create offense at all three levels, whether knocking down deep shots, slashing to the basket, or exploiting low-post mismatches. Defensively, her active hands and quick feet allow her to capitalize on mismatches. She’s too fast for most post players, and her big-guard mentality makes her a difficult matchup to defend.

Legacy was ready to go day 1 of her high school career as a freshman at Ontario Christian. The volleyball background has translated to the game of basketball. Legacy gets off the ground fairly quickly and uses her length to perfection. Opposing guards cannot over-dribble against her or it will surely result in a turnover. Her wingspan makes it impossible to use crossovers when she is in front of you without the risk of getting the ball poked away. Legacy covers ground very quickly. Excellent closeouts along with the IQ and timing to block shots on the perimeter without fouling. Unselfish player who is willing to do the dirty work. There are moments when Legacy scores in bunches offensively. She thrives in transition as a scorer and passer. One of the top 2-way prospects in the junior class.

The Legacy puns are bound to follow Ms. Benjamin throughout her career. It’s hard to ignore when you average 7 points and 5 rebounds as a freshman. The 6’1 SF looks to help the continued success of Ontario Christian after a perfect year of league play. With senior leadership and height leaving, Legacy will have big shoes to fill.
