The Vermont commit is in for a big senior year and is one of the most complete point guards in the state. She has a smooth shot, displays excellent vision and timing to execute passes from any spot on the floor, and has the IQ to make plays in other areas too. She can play at different speeds, score pretty well from each level, and is able to set the pace when she’s in there, both with her passing and ability to create shots off the bounce.

Lia is a fantastic point guard who is quick with the ball in her hands and can read defenses quickly. She does a great job at reading opposing defenses and attacking those weaknesses right away. She finds her teammates often and plays off the pick and roll smoothly and effectively. Hanson is a top player in the state and will have a great senior year and college career beyond.

She started a little slow in her first game but once she got going it was like takeover mode got activated. Very secure with the rock and able to create separation with compact moves, was knocking down jumpers from all ranges too. Really took over with her ability to score 1v1 but also saw the court extremely well and wasn’t forcing shots up.

Lia has really shown improvement since last season, being a much more well rounded player on both sides of the ball. She moves quick on her feet, having great lateral movement and active hands on the defensive side of the ball. She creates for her teammates at a high level, seeing the court well and having a great knowledge about the game. Lia is a phenomenal shooter and can really let it fly from deep.

Lia is an extremely impressive and dynamic player who on multiple occasions had me saying, “Wow.” She started off getting her teammates involved and showcasing her elite court vision before creating for herself and knocking down multiple mid-range and three-point shots. With her great size for a point guard, she also grabbed multiple rebounds. She excels in multiple aspects of the game and looked like the most impressive player I had the pleasure of watching.

Lia is already ranked within the top 15 of her class but I truly believe she is a top 10 player in the 2025 class. Lia plays with a lot of passion and drive on the court, pushing her teammates to go 100% on every possession like she does. She facilitates the offense smoothly, being able to set up her teammates nicely for some easy buckets. Hanson hits the big shots deep when needed too, not being afraid of pressure.

Hanson was a key figure in their comeback victory over FBC United. She plays with good pace and vision, and made a few key passes up the court leading teammates to the hoop. She can prod the defense and works it around looking for openings, and also hit a huge 3 to push EBC Elite ahead late in the game.
