About Liliana
Expert Analysis
Devin Record | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Liliana continues to improve her game in all aspects. Her offensive game has taken the next step, being able to attack from the wing and get down-hill in the paint but also can stop on a dime to get mid-range shots off. She also has a lethal deep shot, so defenders must stay on their toes when defending her. Meissner is poised for a massive season.

How do you think your team and yourself performed throughout this season?
– I think we clicked right off the bat. A couple of games were rocky at the start but we always pulled it out when we needed to. Every single starter on our team can score if one gets shut down so it’s hard to stop us.
What was the biggest obstacle you and your team faced this season?
-I think my biggest challenge is I’m in a new school, new team, new environment I’ve never played with these girls or with these coaches before so it was different but the best decision of my life. I think we had some times of uncertainty or maybe annoyance when we had to play the same teams multiple times. We had to play annie wright 4 times which was hard bc they are a great team, but we pulled it out every time.
What do you think you improved most on the court?
-I think I improved my attitude. Once my attitude and drive to play the game for more than myself came, it was all uphill in my performance, coach-ability, confidence, and being the best teammate.
What are you looking to improve during AAU and before next season?
-For AAU I’m just looking forward to playing at a high level competing with some of the best teams out there
Who are some teammates that you think stood out this season? Who are some teammates who could have breakout years next year in your eyes?
– I think our entire starting 5 stands out.

are some of the best people and performers I’ve ever had the blessing to play with. Sadly we do lose Addi next year but the rest of us 4 and ready to take home two rings 🙏🏼

Liliana is a dynamic, crafty guard who has a very, very high basketball IQ. She gets her teammates involved every game, being a pass first player who can score if her team needs. She knows her spots on the court and uses her plethora of moves to get there and find her buckets. Defensively she moves her feet quickly and is always vocal, being a leader for her squad. Her deep shot has been looking more consistent, which just shows that she has been making her game more well rounded in all aspects.

Liliana is a crafty guard that maintains great composure, and she can either set up her teammates really well or attack the defense and find her own shots. She uses her speed to her advantage on both ends of the court, and she’s also developed a confident jump shot. I am intrigued to see her skills in action here soon.

Liliana is another player who was solid during the PGH Top 250 Expo here in Washington. She attacked open gaps, knowing how to go at her defender to blow by and get the bucket. She is a versatile player, being able to play and defend multiple positions on the court. She has a high IQ of the game and it rubs off on her teammates.

She showed some good playmaking ability to pair with her height and was consistently getting downhill and playing to attack gaps. A pretty athletic guard, she made smart cuts off the ball, was very unselfish – driving to get others involved – and showed some potential with her jumper.

She is a defensive specialist in the making. The way she moves her feet along with the length really stands out. She has excellent lateral movement. She pressures the ball at the top of the defense and not many could get by her. She is active on the glass and has more of a slasher type offensive game. She goes full speed at all times, including getting rebounds and going coast to coast. She can be a good enough offensive player on her length and athleticism alone. It’s the defensive potential that is a game changer if she wants it to be.
