About Lilliana

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as competitive, energetic, and fearless. I love to push the tempo, play aggressive defense, and create plays for my teammates. I focus on reading the court, staying composed under pressure, and never being afraid to take the big shot when the team needs it.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is all about effort and growth. I show up every day ready to learn, give my best, and get a little better than I was yesterday. I try to stay positive, encourage my teammates, and keep working hard no matter the score. I believe that if you play with heart and discipline, success will follow.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Outside of basketball, I stay active in my school community and always try to help others. I’ve received recognition for good character and classroom leadership, and I enjoy volunteering in local events when I can. Giving my best both on and off the court is important to me.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Basketball has taught me the value of teamwork, communication, and discipline. I’ve learned how to be a leader by encouraging my teammates and setting the tone in practice. I also understand that great players lift others up — whether that’s through a good pass, a kind word, or consistent effort every day.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of my biggest challenges was starting basketball later than most players my age. I began playing in January 2025, so I’ve had to work hard to catch up with girls who have been playing for years. Instead of letting that discourage me, I use it as motivation. Every practice, every drill, and every rep is a chance to close that gap — and I love the challenge.

What type of college are you looking for?

Someday, I hope to attend a college with a strong basketball program and supportive coaches who believe in developing players on and off the court. I want a school that values teamwork, leadership, and academic excellence — a place where I can grow as both an athlete and a person.
