York has to put together a talented young group of players… and Lily is near the top of that list. Her impact comes from her shooting and length on defense, two major areas of her game that won’t be limited by her injury, and when she returns this season, we’ll see just how strong a player she is. She can come in and play off the ball without feeling the pressure of being a primary option, and once she gets back to 100% confidence, it wouldn’t shock me to see her fully dominate on her team again. Being able to adjust and be versatile is also key for recruiting. Excited to see her back on the floor.

An injury cut what would have been a strong freshman season short for Lilly, but we caught a glimpse of what the talent is… and she is one of the top guards in this class. Coming off an injury won’t be an easy task, but Burninson seems like a player who can adjust, and if she takes her time getting back to impacting the game, she should be in for another strong year. She can score at all three levels, and her defense is solid enough that players won’t be scoring easily against her. Excited to see her back on the court.

Burninson was off to a strong start in her first year before it was cut short by injury, but she’s the type of kid who doesn’t let something like that slow her down. She’s a true 3 and D player who can either step into a primary role or thrive as a strong complementary piece. She has all the tools to become a face of this program as the years go on.
