An injury cut what would have been a strong freshman season short for Lilly, but we caught a glimpse of what the talent is… and she is one of the top guards in this class. Coming off an injury won’t be an easy task, but Burninson seems like a player who can adjust, and if she takes her time getting back to impacting the game, she should be in for another strong year. She can score at all three levels, and her defense is solid enough that players won’t be scoring easily against her. Excited to see her back on the court.

Burninson was off to a strong start in her first year before it was cut short by injury, but she’s the type of kid who doesn’t let something like that slow her down. She’s a true 3 and D player who can either step into a primary role or thrive as a strong complementary piece. She has all the tools to become a face of this program as the years go on.
