When one has been on the big stage of state championship games as has been the case with Cherokee’s Lossiah, a showcase event such as the Prep Girls Hoops Freshman Showcase is another ordinary day at the office. She stands at 5-foot-6 and competes in volleyball and track and field alongside basketball. Lossiah also displayed how effective she can be in the passing game. She excelled in the 3v3 portion of Saturday’s showcase which is all about half court offense and defense. Both of her first names may begin with the letter L, but two Ls will surely lead to plenty more Ws this season for the defending 1A champion Braves. 

Cherokee will be entering the 2024-25 season as defending 1A state champions – and the Braves are looking to Lossiah as a key component in continuing the team’s winning ways. Lossiah has also excelled in other sports throughout her athletic career. These have included volleyball, track and field and cross country. Lossiah is listed at 5-foot-6 and primarily operates in the backcourt as either a one or a two guard. She may play her high school ball in the Hoop State, but spent her spring and summer running on the grassroots realm with a Tennessee-based organization – Tennessee Flight Trotters 2028 Crowe.
