Lily, a guard for Lady Shockers , turned in a strong performance at the PGH MI College Tour IV Saginaw Valley with her aggressive style of play and relentless effort. She did an excellent job attacking openings in the defense, using polished footwork in the lane to create quality scoring opportunities. She consistently got downhill with confidence and capped one drive with a tough and-one finish through contact. Lily also showed her hustle by tracking down a loose ball and making an impressive save to keep the possession alive. Her energy, toughness, and ability to put pressure on the defense stood out throughout the day.

Lily shifts into high gear when she pushes the ball up the court. She weaves through defenders, changing hands comfortably, and keeps her eyes up to find open teammates. Lily made a quick crossover to her left, drove by, and scored a smooth left-handed layup off the glass. She ripped the ball quickly to get downhill and earned a trip to the free-throw line. Lily split the gap for another drive-by layup and saw no help defense in the paint, then went by with a crossover for another bucket. She threw a great skip pass to the corner for an assist and switched hands effectively in traffic to convert contested shots with both hands. She was a key player for Lady Shockers 15U at the PGH Michigan State Tournament.

Lily made her presence felt with her energy and effort throughout the night for Team 2 at the Prep Girls Hoops MI State Showcase. Defensively, she competed hard from end to end and was very active applying pressure the full length of the floor. Offensively, she moved well without the basketball and consistently found openings by cutting and attacking gaps in the defense. Lily showed toughness getting downhill and finishing strong drives to the rim, putting together several impressive takes to the basket during the showcase.

Love Lily’s court vision!  She does a terrific job pushing the ball, but she understands when to slow it down and set up the offense!  She controls the tempo of the game very well!
