The IQ, patience, and footwork Porter has are what keep her in the conversation as one of the top prospects in her class. She just understands how to score, when to score, and when to make herself a decoy. There is a strong amount of athleticism there, too, which can get overlooked because she may not be the fastest player on the court. But she is strong, decisive, and intentional with her movements. When she gets to her spots, there is very little wasted motion, and that maturity in her game continues to stand out.

Lily has all the tools of a strong, versatile point forward type of player. She has the aggression on both ends as well, which, in my opinion, separates her from some of the other players at her position. She can guard 2-4… and she gives no easy buckets to the centers. Big fan of how she plays.

Marist will be competitive again this year, and with a ton of standout juniors, Lily is one of the major ones. She has a simple, but consistent type of game, and she doesn’t need to do much to get going. The athleticism is shown on both ends of the floor, and the playmaking is just as strong as her ability to stretch the court. She has the size, the versatility, and the IQ to be an All-State type of talent this year.

Porter has been consistent with her game and has consistently been mentioned as one of the most improved players in the state. She’s secured a couple of POTGs this season and has had some breakout moments as well. Her game could fit into most schemes, and though she’s not the fastest player on the court, there’s an argument that she’s always the smartest. A D2 offer has been sent to her, but I believe a D1 offer could roll in over the next year or two.

Love to get to see Lily play in person. She is a great scorer on all levels. I especially love her see her finishes in the paint. She uses her strong frame to rebound and capitalize on second chance points.

Solid size met with a strong motor. Porter has the ability to score from multiple angles and shows the aggression to actually do it. She can be active in the open floor, just as well as on the block. Off the ball she can be a problem for defenses as well.

Size and versatility are key in securing offers. The ability to play and be impactful in different roles and positions are what college coaches are in search for. Porter has that and has shown that. She can stretch the floor, run the floor and make plays, while also being able to defend the paint. Her decision making is sharp and quick. Marist will be a team to watch this June at the Windy City Shootout.
