Lyla, a guard for OPS, was one of the youngest players I had the chance to watch at the PGH MI College Tour IV Saginaw Valley, and she showed she can really shoot the basketball. She confidently buried multiple shots from beyond the arc, displaying a smooth stroke and plenty of range. She wasn’t limited to the perimeter, though. Lyla attacked the baseline, beat her defender off the dribble, and earned a trip to the free-throw line after drawing contact at the rim. Her ability to score from both the outside and off the bounce made her a tough matchup throughout the day.
