Having watched her repeatedly this summer, her growth has been impossible to ignore.

As a freshman point guard, Waddel inherited the responsibility of leading a young team. Inexperience often caused the offense to stall. However, those moments showcased her value. She remained composed when possessions broke down. Her high basketball IQ created offense from broken plays.

Defensively, Waddel served as the team’s vocal leader. She constantly directed teammates into proper positions. She encouraged them after mistakes and fouls.
