Over the last 12-15 months, Maddy has done a really nice job of growing her game and becoming a more complete player. She has handled the ball and become a primary ball-handler throughout this Spring & Summer for her grassroots teams, she has improved her shot selection and makes good decisions, plus she has remained an effortful defender who can guard the ball, help teammates, plus she rebounds her position. I’d expect for her to continue becoming even more dynamic.

Maddy had a nice overall weekend, capped off by an outstanding game Sunday morning. She has done a tremendous job of developing from a wing, to a true guard, to now a playmaking combo guard who can make point guard plays. She was tremendous in transition, scoring it in a variety of ways, but also doing a really nice job of drawing defenders and finding open teammates through small windows. And she is probably even better as a defender.

This Indiana’s Best squad has been fun to watch this year, and Maddy is a big part of that. She plays so hard each time out, competes each possession, but she has also done a nice job over the last couple of years of transitioning from being a slashing athlete to becoming more of a point guard offensively. She has nice on-court awareness, she handles pressure, and she can defend both backcourt spots.
