Makara was a relentless scorer at the LBI Thanksgiving Preview on Wednesday for Unity Christian. She created space from defenders using jabs, scored with a drop-step pivot off two feet, and added an and-one layup in transition. Makara buried 3s with smooth shooting mechanics and converted several layups throughout the day after crossing over defenders.

Obande had an eye-popping performance and was so strong with the ball. She showed that she could advance the ball quickly off the rebound and pressure the D with her ball pace. Obande was creative with her handles and drew a handful of fouls because of it.

Makara had an impressive day for Team 1 at The Expo. She drove hard to the lane and was not afraid of contact. She had multiple “and-1s” on the day. I was also impressed with her floater. She is a poised point guard and made some nice passes in the open court.
