The leading scorer for Morgan High School, she brings a quick, aggressive style of play and isn’t afraid of contact when attacking the basket or battling for possession. She thrives in the chaos of loose balls and scrambles, often coming away with the play in her team’s favor.

She leads this group in both scoring and steals, averaging 17 points and 3.4 steals per game, while also contributing 4 rebounds per contest. Her ability to pressure defensively and turn those moments into offensive opportunities makes her a constant threat on both ends of the floor.

Makayla finished the season as the top scorer in 3A, and she did it by impacting the game at all three levels. Whether she was establishing position in the paint, cleaning up second-chance opportunities, or stepping out to stretch the defense, she was a constant matchup problem. Her offensive production was a major reason Morgan advanced to the championship game, and with another year still ahead of her, she’ll continue to be a focal point and a tough cover in 3A.

Makayla attacked downhill every time she touched the ball, embracing contact and challenging multiple defenders — even bigger bodies — without hesitation. She consistently got paint touches, finished through traffic, and turned second-chance opportunities into points with strong put-backs. Defensively, she does a great job staying between her assignment and the rim, cutting off driving lanes and forcing tough looks. Her ability to go rim-to-rim, combined with timely three-point conversions, makes her a constant two-way presence on the floor.

Williams is putting together a very impressive junior year, showcasing her exceptional skills beyond the arc. Her shooting accuracy has been outstanding, and her teammates are consistently finding her in advantageous positions. A key factor in her rise this season has been her aggressive approach to rebounding, solidifying her status as a stock riser to watch.

Makayla has become exactly what Morgan needed — a reliable second option who can take over when defenses overcommit. With teams keying heavily on Zoe Rockenfield Zoe Rockenfield 5'11" | CG/PG Morgan | 2028 State UT , Makayla capitalized and averaged 20 points per game this week, keeping her team on pace offensively and injecting energy into every possession. Her ability to step into that complementary scoring role gives Morgan a balanced attack and makes this team harder to scout going forward.

Makayla loves to lie on the periphery… and if you let that happen, she will hit. She is one of the most athletic, all-around, that we’ve seen from players. Her ability to be the first one day the floor lets her be the prime target for the long pass. She has some great opportunity to step into a bigger role this next season supporting other teammates that need her size and quickness.
