Pobocik was impressive with her steadiness and poise. She played the game with a high basketball IQ. I was impressed with her accurate passing and the way she moved the basketball over the course of the game. Pobocik showed that she could bury a triple off a catch and shoot as well. She was also strong enough to play through contact.

Playing a high level of defense can really take you far in the game of basketball. Pobocik has let her defense rule the day. Don’t get me wrong, she has offensive abilities like playing in transition and finishing through contact. But it’s her anticipation on defense and her ability to lock down on the perimeter that ignited her rise.

I love the grit that this young lady shows. She plays hard and keeps plays alive constantly. She has a fire to dominate and does so in a very team oriented fashion.

Let’s start this one our really simply. Pobocik is a way more influential player than I had realized last year and she needed to move up. She can be considered a defensive stopper on the perimeter and she takes pride in her effort on that end. The old adage says, defense travels, and I can see it carrying through for her at the next level. I think Pobocik has positioned herself to have a terrific senior season.

I’ve written a lot about Pobocik’s defense as of late. Well, it was stellar again. She stalks the ball looking for an opportunity to jump a pass and create a turnover. Pobocik also showed a level of grit and toughness over the weekend that impressed onlookers.

Quite simply, Pobocik needs to be ranked higher. It starts at ends for her at the defensive end. She’s a bona fide perimeter stopper. College coaches have seen, and will continue to see, the value that she can add to their programs

Pobocik is a refreshing sight for basketball purists. She lets her game start at the defensive end and it certainly suits her well. Pobocik is a grinder when playing defense, earning hustle points and being willing to hit the floor and make the plays that may not show up on a stat sheet. She will be counted on to shut down or slow down some big time scorers this coming high school season.

The speedy and slick wing is tough to contain. She’s a terrific all around athlete that is entertaining track offers as well. In my opinion, Pobocik is the type of strong minded athlete that can get it done in both sports.
